
Basim Hudeen, MS, BCBA

Basim Hudeen is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who was born in Elizabeth, NJ. He attended Idaho State University in Pocatello, ID on a football scholarship. He received his Bachelors of Science in Psychology in 2011 from Idaho State University. After graduating, Basim had a brief stint in the NFL with the New York Giants (2012). Basim would then receive his Masters Degree in Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from Capella University in 2017. After football came to an end, Basim began his journey into the field of ABA starting out working in residential settings with at risk youth. From there he worked in a variety of settings including schools, in-home, clinical, and day programs. With over 10 years of practice in the field of ABA, Basim has a wide range of experience from pre-school aged children to adults in their 50’s. Basim is devoted to working with diverse populations such as adolescence and adults with autism, attention deficit hyperactive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, emotionally disturbed, and other developmental disabilities. He has contributed thoroughly to the individuals in this field. With his background in football, Basim aspires to build a culture where even sports can be used as an intervention to increase behaviors that are helpful and decrease behaviors that are harmful for individual’s with behavioral and developmental disabilities. Basim is also a Certified Crisis Prevention Intervention Instructor (CPI). With his expertise in Crisis Prevention Intervention, Basim aims to empower families with skills that offer an opportunity for a positive outcome. Essentially training families and direct care staff to recognize a series of behavior levels that occur in an escalating crisis, along with specific approaches to take at each level to prevent or de-escalate the situation. Basim has a desire for helping others progress towards living their best possible life. He truly believes in the science of ABA, by utilizing it he intends to offer the best possible services to clients and increase the confidence in families while they manage the challenging behaviors faced on a daily basis.
